Nicole Kidman recently opened up about her mother’s “last words.” In September, the Hollywood veteran actress cut short her appearance at the Venice Film Festival after learning about the death of her mother Janelle Ann Kidman. She was 84 years old at that time. On Sunday, the Big Little Lies alum recalled her last conversation with her mother during an interview with CBS Morning.

Kidman recalled on CBS Sunday Morning, “The last words that my mother said, which I didn’t know were going to be the last words… I was about to get on a plane and go back to see her Was.” “And she was like, ‘Maybe wait a minute because I think you need to take care of yourself right now, Nicki,'” she said of Jenelle.

The Babygirl star further revealed that her mother’s advice changed her outlook on life. This made her realize how often women neglect themselves. “So, I’m doing it more. And I say this to other people in the world and especially women. I think we don’t take care of ourselves,'” Kidman said.

Kidman, 57, further said that as a mother of four children, she will apply Janelle’s advice to her own life. “Obviously, I’m a big mom, so I want to be there for my daughters longer,” the Eyes Wide Shut actress said, referring to her teenage daughters Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 13. Which she shares with her husband Keith Urban.
The Perfect Couple star is also mother to daughter Isabella, 31, and son Connor, 29, who she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise. “They are amazing girls, and I’m lucky to have them. So taking care of myself means I can take care of them,” Kidman said.
