Nicole Kidman has expressed gratitude to her fans and friends for their immense support while she recovers from the death of her mother Janelle Ann Kidman. On her Instagram account, Kidman shared an emotional post with old family photos. She also added a caption expressing gratitude for people’s kindness and support during this difficult time. What did Nicole write?
“My sister and I and our family would like to thank you for all the love and kindness you have expressed this week,” Kidman wrote.
They added, “The messages we have received from people who love and respect our mom have meant more to us than we can ever express. On behalf of our entire family, thank you for respecting our privacy while taking care of each other.”
Many of Kidman’s celebrity friends offered their condolences in the comments. Musician Lenny Kravitz wrote, “My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I am blessed to have been with them. Rest in Peace.” “Nick, so sorry for your loss. Sending you so much love. Sending you both so much love. So sorry for your loss. Your wonderful spirited mother will be missed by so many. Hopefully she is now peacefully reunited with your dad xxx Love you,” wrote Natalie Portman.
Nicole missed accepting the award
Janelle’s death was revealed after the actress won an award for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival last Saturday. Director Halina Reijn accepted the award on Kidman’s behalf and shared a statement from her.
“I am in shock and have to go to my family, but this award is for her. I am so grateful I had the chance to say her name in front of all of you. The collision of life and art is heartbreaking and my heart is broken,” Kidman wrote.
