Mumbai: Advocate Nilesh C Ojha, father of celebrity manager Dansa Salian, Satish Salian’s legal lawyer Nilesh C Ojha said that the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) has not given a clean chit to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thakere in connection with the investigation and gangrape. Referring to the closure report in the case of the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, he said that the CBI did not investigate the death of Disha Salian at that time.
Disha Salian died on 8 June 2020, six days before his customer and actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who had allegedly committed suicide in his apartment in Bandra. Despite the investigation by the then Maharashtra government under the leadership of Udhav Thackeray, there were no decisive results, motivating Satish Salian to file a new complaint.
Speaking to ANI, Advocate Ojha recalled the previous investigation in the direction and cited a closure report in Sushant’s case. He insisted that CBI did not release a clean chit to Aaditya Thackeray.
Ojha clarified, “There is no closure record in the case of Disha Salian murder. There was a closed report in 2021, but the government then remembered it, and the matter was reopened after recording the statement of Disa’s father on 11 December 2023. Disha Salian Merthen Case has also released a clean chit to Aaditya Thackeray.
In a latest written complaint with the Mumbai Police Commissioner, Father Satish Salian sought an FIR registration against Aditya Thackeray and others accused in connection with the crimes of murder of their daughter.
Earlier, Advocate Nilesh Ojha said the complaint was accepted by the Joint Police Commissioner, and the accused in the case included Aditya Thackeray, former Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, officer Sachin Wise and actor Sorag Pancholi.
“Today, we have filed a written complaint to the CP office, and the JCP crime has accepted it, and the complaint is now an FIR,” Ojha told reporters.
He further alleged that Parambir Singh was “the main mastermind” behind the “cover-up” in the case in 2020.
Ojha also alleged that Aditya Thackeray is associated with a “drug cartel”, which he said that the complaint has also been mentioned.
“Aaditya Thackeray is the main accused in this Gangrep and murder case. Uddhav Thackeray is the main accused of misuse of power for coverup … Aaditya Thackeray is found in drug cartel, and it is in the official record of NCB. We have also released some pictures even today.
Earlier, Satish Salian contacted the Bombay High Court demanding an inquiry into his daughter’s death and requested the registration of an FIR against Thackeray.
In response to the allegations, Udhhav Thackeray, the head of the Shiv Sena (UBT) and the father of Aditya Thackeray, denied any relationship between his family and Disha Salian case, emphasizing that if the evidence is present, it should be submitted to the court.
Uddhav Thackeray said, “If they have evidence, they should produce it in court as the matter is going on in court. My family has worked for 6 to 7 generations and we have no connection with this issue. If you are making false accusations against someone, it can also make you boom.
Sashant was found hanging in his flat in suburban Bandra in Mumbai, on June 8, 2020, Disha was found dead.
