Megastar Rajinikanth, who recently visited Kerala, was spotted at the Chennai airport on Sunday. Speaking to media persons at the airport, Rajinikanth praised Kamal Haasan’s film Indian 2, which released on July 12. He also gave information about his upcoming film Vettaiyaan.
He said, “Indian 2 is going well and we are still working on Vettaiyaan.”
The sequel to the film Indian, directed by Shankar, stars Haasan, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh and Priya Bhavani Shankar.
The megastar was also seen waving at fans and taking selfies with them while sitting in the car.
Meanwhile, Indian 2 is a sequel to the 1996 film Indian in which Kamal played Veerasekaran Senapathy.
The sequel to this franchise brings back Kamal and director S Shankar.
Indian 2 has music by Anirudh Ravichander and writers are Jayamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu and Lakshmi Saravanakumar.
On the other hand, Vettaiyaan, which marks Rajinikanth’s 170th film, is scheduled to release worldwide in October this year.
Earlier, the production company released the title teaser of the film on Rajinikanth’s 73rd birthday.
The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier and Dushara Vijayan. Anirudh Ravichander serves as the music composer for the film.
