On-set drama: It Ends With Us insider criticises ‘extremely rude’ Blake Lively and ‘performative feminist’ Justin Baldoni

The It Ends With Us cast drama is adding to the uncomfortable silence between the film’s leads, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. While they’ve remained mum on the on-set rumors that possibly led to the main cast distancing themselves from the director since the film’s New York premiere on August 6, insiders and anonymous sources close to the stars have spoken out on their behalf on countless occasions, fueling the fire more than ever before.

In the latest story from an insider dishing out dirt behind the scenes, a source has ruthlessly criticized both Lively and Baldoni for separate issues.

What did the It Ends With Us insider say about Blake Lively?

While Lively, the lead actress and executive producer of It Ends With Us, upset “everyone” on the film’s set with her “extremely rude” behavior, Baldoni pushed his “conscious and demonstrative feminist” agenda, one person told DailyMail.com.

The insider also claimed that “everyone was a little bit scared of Blake.” They further added that the 36-year-old actress “wasn’t bad — she was just very rude.”

Describing the alleged feud to the outlet, he said that, “there wasn’t any outward altercation or fight,” but because Lively was “very opinionated” and “had very strong feelings about things,” it caused a lot of tension on set.

Digging deeper into the alleged sentiment, the insider said that “there was a clear feeling that everyone was a little bit intimidated by Blake.”

Furthermore, the crew struggled to complete the project on the first day back from shooting, as the months-long writers’ strike had affected production. The staff was frustrated, as many people had begun losing their homes and facing many other challenges due to the situation at the time.

Adding to the tension, Lively brought her children to set that same day so they could raise money for “sick kids and horses.” The insider claims the crew saw this as “reckless” activism, especially when those on set already had so much to deal with.

“There’s nothing wrong with your kids being part of your workplace, or your kids being interested in activism … but it’s hard not to have it feel disrespectful and performative.”

The source also mocked Blake Lively as an “advocate for beautiful blondes in the world” due to her alleged antics on set.

In the days leading up to the film’s premiere and even after, Lively faced criticism for her brand’s promotion. In addition to the already existing Betty Booze and Betty Buzz, the Gossip Girl alum recently launched her own hair care brand, Blake Brown. Its debut coincided with It Ends With Us’ schedule, so fans criticized her for strategically choosing a marketing move to promote her personal benefits.

The insider also took aim at Justin Baldoni

Baldoni, on the other hand, appeared to have less control over the project, and appeared “really stressed out and exhausted by his constant inability to take charge” of the film he was directing. The insider alleged that this affected the actor/director’s morale and that whenever he was asked about something, he would say, ‘Well, ask Blake’… because when Blake got in there, he had a lot of very strong ideas and feelings.”

Describing Justin Baldoni as an “idiot,” the insider emphasized that the actor has made performative “woke feminism” his brand, and has even written a book called “Undefining Masculinity.”

The sources didn’t stop there. Attacking the film’s star even more, they described Lively and Baldoni as “similar to the extent that they’re very special little icebergs who have a shocking amount of privilege and a shocking amount of self-awareness.”

Whoever this person is, they’re both against celebrities and it seems they’ve seen them in action firsthand. Whether this is just another PR move or a personal grudge after the backlash the film has received, the insider described the stars as “entitled people” who “have no experience with abuse,” and so they’re “showing what they imagine hot people might be like when they’re abused.”

While Baldoni still receives some relief from a certain side of fans in this area, Lively has faced immense criticism for shying away from serious conversations about domestic violence, which is the main focus of the film. Justin, in his own right, has been affected by the allegations made by Lively’s representatives.

A few days ago, TMZ had reported that Baldoni had allegedly fat-shamed the actress and made her feel uncomfortable. However, sources soon defended him, saying he has a history of back problems. For a scene in the film in which he had to lift Blake, Justin asked his on-set trainer how much Lively weighed and how he could train to avoid hurting his back.

The film’s schedule centered around Blake’s fourth pregnancy, as she gave birth to her youngest child, Olin, in February 2023.
