John Abraham is ready for the release of his film ‘Saaho’. VedaThe film will release in theatres on August 15. Now, the actor, as part of the promotional campaign, appeared on the content creator Ranveer Allahabadia’s podcast. The actor spoke about the hurdles he still faces in the industry. He said, “I produced Vicky Donor. I did movies like Madras Cafe And Batla House– But to this day I have to explain to studio heads that this is a different movie and to please fund my process. To this day they don’t trust me 100 percent and tell me the budget is too high.”
John Abraham also spoke about his signing amount for the film. “As an actor, my fees don’t burden the film. I feel if the film makes money, I will also make money. I don’t want to burden the film. John Abraham also said that studio heads often don’t reply to him, especially because he doesn’t use WhatsApp. He said, “First of all, I don’t have WhatsApp, so if I send SMS to people, they don’t reply to me. I don’t get a reply for a very long time. I had messaged a studio head and he told me he would get back, but 4.5 months have passed and he hasn’t replied. I don’t feel bad, but I deserve an answer. I believe that if people have a little faith in me, I would like to try and change Indian cinema a little bit. I am not saying that I am a game changer, but I want to try.”
Talking about his upcoming movies Tehran And DiplomatJohn Abraham said, “I want to make entertaining films and something on geo-politics because I am interested in it. My upcoming films are like Tehran And DiplomatThese are great films. I want to present them to the audience in an interesting way.”
