‘One Piece’ live-action strengthens its crew with Smoker, Tashigi, Wapol, and Dalton

enthusiasm among people one piece The number of fans has reached new heights as Netflix announced additional cast members for the second season of the highly-anticipated hit series. The crew includes Callum Kerr as Smoker, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol and Ty Keogh as Dalton.

Smoker’s casting has been hotly anticipated, especially after the character’s introduction in the final minutes of Season 1. Although his face wasn’t shown, key hints like his Navy uniform and dual cigars have kept fans buzzing over who will play the Marine officer.

Based on the manga and anime by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece is the story of Monkey D. Luffy (played by Iñaki Godoy) and his pirate crew on their quest to find the ultimate treasure, “One Piece”, and earn the title of Pirate King. The first season, starring Mackinaw as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Tazz Skyler as Sanji, captivated audiences worldwide.

Season 2 promises to feature an already diverse cast, including newcomers Daniel Lasker, Camrus Johnson, Jazzra Jaslin and David Dastmalchian, who will play members of the Baroque Works organization. In addition, Werner Koetser, Brendan Murray and Clive Russell are set to bring the characters of Dori, Broggy and Crokus to life.

Season 1’s success was marked by an eight-week presence in Netflix’s Global Top 10, reaching the Top 10 in 93 countries, and debuting at #1 in 46. Produced in partnership with Shueisha and Tomorrow Studios, and with an experienced executive production team, Season 2 is set to continue the series’ momentum and deliver another round of high seas adventures.
