Operation Sindoor Women Soldier on KBC: PR Stunt or Patriotism? Neitizes made red

New Delhi: The Independence Day of Kaun Banega Crorepati is being set on fire even before the episode broadcast. The upcoming show will welcome hosts Amitabh Bachchan, welcoming three decorated female officers, Indian Army Colonel Sofia Qureshi, Indian Air Force Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Indian Navy Commander Adrna Deothali.

A preacher clip issued by Soni Liv showed the authorities walking on the set for applause. The broadcast is scheduled for 15 August. In the episode, they share accounts from Operation Sindoor, after the April 22 terror strike in Pahgam in response to India’s across military aggressive aggressive.

The presence of officers serving at a popular reality quiz show has set a storm online. Some users accuse the government of using the army for political branding. “This is incredible. Operation Sindoor Heroes are seen on National TV because a party wants a vote?” Read a post on X.

Another said, “How is this also allowed? Our army is not support for hyper-nationalism.”

Criticism is also focused on time. Both Colonel Qureshi and Wing Commander Singh had informed the press while the operation was going on. Now, his presence on an entertainment program is being called unprecedented.

“Our army was sacred, above politics, beyond PR. Today, it is a political equipment,” read in a post.

Questions have been raised about whether the Armed Forces Protocol allows such public appearances. One user wrote, “The Indian Armed Forces have protocols and dignity. Politicians are ruining it for personal gain.”

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi connected the show to commercial interests. He said that Sony Pictures Network India, who owns the channel a broadcast of KBC, also has a broadcast rights for the Asia Cup by 2031.

“Yes, the same channel that gives profits from India vs Pakistan. Now join dots,” he posted on X.

The government and the Ministry of Defense have not responded to criticism.

Military rules discourage public wearing uniforms in public social settings such as restaurants, hotels or shops until the officials participate in official incidents in disturbances. Caps should be removed indoors. Some military social functions allow uniforms, including dance or formal reception within the dirt.

The controversy has now noticed a separate question from KBC’s quiz questions: should the service officers participate in television entertainment, especially after an active operation?
