Tamil superstar Ajit Kumar received the President, Draupadi Murmu, President of India, Draupadi Murmu on Monday (April 28) on Monday (April 28). The actor, as declared in January, is one of the 19 Padma Bhushan Award winners announced by the Central Government.

Renowned Malayalam writer and screenwriter Mount Vasudevan Nair, who died last year, has been awarded the Padma Vibhan with late singer Pankaj Udhas posthumously.
Padma Awards, among the highest civilian honors of the country, have been honored in three categories – Padma Vibhuhan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. The Padma Awards include many subjects including art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, business and industry and others.
