Pahgam Attack: From Akshay Kumar to Mohanlal, Indian celebrities condemn the terrorist attack in Kashmir

A recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, in which at least 26 people were killed and more than 20 injured, inspired strong reactions from the Indian film industry. Prominent actors, filmmakers and public figures have condemned violence, offered sensations and demanded accountability.

Akshay Kumar was one of the first people to respond, called the attack “sheer evil” and expressed his terror on the murder of innocent civilians. He wrote on X, “Fearful to know about the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahgam … Praying to their families,” he wrote on X.

Actor Sanjay Dutt released a sharp response, urging the government to work. He said, “He killed our people in cold blood. It cannot be forgiven,” he said, appealed for a strong response in the top leadership including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

Hina Khan, who is currently in Kashmir, responded to the news with a visible shock. He posted a brief but emotional message on Instagram stories: “Pahalgam … why … why”.

Vicky Kaushal also shared his grief, saying, “Can’t imagine the pain of family members who lost their loved ones in the absolutely inhuman work of terrorism in Pahalgam.” He increased his prayers and support to the affected people.

Sonu Sood called the attack “unacceptable” and emphasized that terrorism should have no place in the civilized world. He wrote, “Strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on innocent tourists in #Pahalgam in Kashmir.”

Filmmaker Karan Johar resonated this feeling, sharing the post and writing of journalist Fai D’Souza, “It’s heartbreaking … Prayers for the families and loved ones of the lost innocent life lost in this heinous attack …”

Siddharth Malhotra, currently filming Supreme beautification In Kerala, the attack was called a “coward” and described his faith in the armed forces to give justice.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher shared a video response to mention his film Kashmir files To highlight the ongoing violence against Kashmiri Hindus. Describing the attack as a “genocide”, he said, “Kashmir files were a faint glimpse of that reality … Nevertheless, many people rejected it as publicity.”

Actor Janhvi Kapoor posted a detailed note expressing deep pain and anger. He said, “I pray for justice, but I am afraid that this time it will not be enough to reduce the anger caused by repeated acts of terror and evil,” he wrote that she mourns with the families of the victims.

Raveena Tandon shared her frustration over continuous violence, wrote, “Time we all left the fight at home, united and felt the true enemy.”

Actor Vivek Oberoi called for solidarity in front of such cruelty. “A shadow of grief falls out today, as the news of the dreadful terrorist attack in Kashmir breaks our hearts,” he posted on X.

Farhan Akhtar, who was recently in Srinagar for the screening of his film ground ZeroThe attack is called “incompetent” and stood in solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

The southern film icon also responded. Mohanlal described the attack as “destructive”, urging the country to hold hopes and unity. Kamal Haasan wrote, “India stands up – in sorrow, in resolution, and our commitment to maintain law, order and national security.” Veteran Telugu star Chiranjeevi also posted a message, in which the incident was described as the “frightening” and “disabled” Act.

Telugu actor Nani, who remembered shooting about three weeks in Pahgam three months ago. “Avak,” he wrote on social media. Cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa, who shot Leo Non -starring Vijay in Pahalgam, also expressed grief. He wrote, “#leo was completely shot in #Pahalgam, but this is not the memory that I wanted to keep with this beautiful small town,” he wrote.

The attack took place at around 3 pm in the Besaran Valley, which was often called ‘Mini Switzerland’ for its beautiful beauty. The gunmen allegedly landed from the hills and set the tourists on fire. Prime Minister Modi has cut his visit to Saudi Arabia to return to India, while Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has “seen anything directed by citizens in recent years”.
