On 22 April, a deadly terrorist attack on tourists claimed about 26 lives in the Baisran Valley of the Indian-influenced Jammu and Kashmir region. The terrorists allegedly separated the tourists on the basis of their faith and shot them after finding out their religion.
The Terrorist Organization, Resistance Morcha (TRF) has claimed responsibility for the attack. TRF is an off-shooting of Pakistan-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Tabiba and came into existence in the valley after the historical cancellation of Article 370.
