Another user said, “Wani Kapoor feels lucky! I sincerely hope that the film is not allowed to be released in India.

Earlier this month, Raj Thackeray -led Maharashtra Navneman Sena (MNS) strongly opposed the film’s release in India.

In 2016, after the Uri terror attack, Pakistani actors were stopped from working in the Indian film and music industry.

At the time, popularity in India increased, Fawad faced issues for Karan Johar’s “Ae Dil Hai Mukkil”. Johar issued an apology and said that he would not work with a Pakistani artist in the future.

Similarly, Shah Rukh Khan’s 2017 film “Raees” also ran into trouble for the specialty of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.
