New Delhi: Pakistani television and film actress Humaira Asgar Ali was found dead on Tuesday, 8 July under mysterious circumstances in her apartments in Itatehad commercial field in Karachi. According to investigators, the 32 -year -old had died for about nine months, with evidence to indicate as the death of October 2024.
This discovery was made when a court belief, working on a landlord’s complaint to vacate the rental property, forcibly entered the apartment and found Ali’s seriously disintegrated body. Preliminary reports had speculated that he died two weeks ago, but forensic and digital evidence now suggests that he died in the end of the previous year, as according to the Arab News report.
Police Deputy Inspector General of Police Syed Asad Raza confirmed that the actress’s phone was last active in October 2024. “According to the Call Detail Record (CDR), the final call was made in October 2024,” Raza told Arab News, without disclosing further specialties.
Investigators cited their final social media activity as additional evidence, its last Facebook post was dated September 11, 2024, and her last Instagram post was published on 30 September 2024.
The residents of the building allegedly told the police that they had not seen Ali since September or October of that year.
Indications point to the death of October
According to the officials involved in the case, its approximate time of death align when its utility services were discontinued, possibly due to non-paying. An investigator said on the condition of anonymity to Arab News, “She probably died between paying her final utility bills and when her power was cut in October 2024, perhaps due to the payment of the bill,” an investigator told Arab News on condition of anonymity. Another said that the foods in the apartment were finished about six months ago, and the rust was formed on metal containers, which was compatible with long neglect.
The door of a balcony in the apartment was left open, which may have allowed the smell of dissolution over time to decompose. Residents returning to the building in February said that by that time the smell had faded.
The actress’s family refuses to claim the body
In a disturbing turn, the police revealed that Ali’s family refused to claim his body. Many media reports suggest that she may be separated from her relatives. When contacted, his father, Dr. Asghar Ali allegedly told the police: “We have cut the relationship with him long ago. Whatever you want with his body. We will not get it.” His mother’s position remains unknown.
