In view of the enlarged India-Pakistan tension and the ban on social media accounts related to Pakistani celebrities recently, the Indian music label has started changing the artwork of film albums to exclude Pakistani actors.
One of the noticeable changes is the cover of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, which was originally shown to both prominent actors Harshvardhan Rane and Mavra Hocken. The revised versions now only display only the night, removing all the scenes of Pakistani actress from platforms such as Spotify and YouTube music.
A similar amendment was seen on Shah Rukh Khan’s album cover of ‘RaS’, where the image of Mahira Khan has been removed. However, ‘Khobasurat’, starring Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan, is unchanged for now.
Harshvardhan Rain’s statement
Amid the fall, ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ actor Harshvardhan Rain announced his decision not to return to the sequel, if there was an opportunity that the original artists would join.
“When I am grateful to experience, I have decided to reject respectfully Sanam Teri Kasam 2 If there is a chance of previous artists to return. I respect this country, that country, Kenya and even all the artists and humans of Mars. But derogatory remarks about my country are inaccessible. ,
His comment was in response to Mavra Hocken, allegedly referred to as India’s Operation Sindoor as the “Coward” Act. Without nominating directly, Rain said, “It is good to stand through your country, but not to disrespect the other.”
Mavra Hocain’s response
In response, Mavra Hocken criticized the time and inspiration at the time of the rayona.
“Somebody expected me to have increased the basic general knowledge from a deep sleep with a PR strategy … while our nation is in war, it’s what you come with? A PR statement to draw attention? A pity!”
He continued, “By making such announcements at this unstable time, it is both shameful and bizarre that you are so hungry and desperate. Our countries have been in war … Two nuclear countries have been in war, it’s not time to discuss films, to bring each other down. After nine years you are getting in the headlines … You can be surrounded by the wrong team.
Rain erects its land
Ren responded to his comment by alleging his right to move away from the film, alleging a personal attack.
“It seemed like an attempt in a personal attack. Fortunately, I have tolerance to ignore such efforts – but there is zero tolerance to any attack on the dignity of my country.”
He continued with a metaphor: “The farmer does not need a PR team for this Act, it is called a common sense. I just offered to leave the post from Part 2. I am to choose not to work with individuals completely within my rights that label my country’s actions as a ‘coward’.”
On album art edits
Reacting to the removal of Mavra from the album artwork, Rann told HT City, “Now they will say that my PR team has got it! No, it is again general knowledge that I think, weed is being used.”
Meanwhile, the creator of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ commented that the decision was completely of music label. “They did not ask me, this is their decision. Whatever our government says, everyone has to follow.”
