The July boy group member brand reputation rankings show BTS’ Jin topping the month’s chart. For the second month in a row, the “Astronaut” hitmaker has dominated the individual member list, again beating ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo. The two K-pop stars have been locked in a tight competition for the top spot since Jin was released from his military duties in June.
Finally, the BTS singer has risen to the top. He has stirred up quite a buzz among the international fan community after being officially appointed as South Korea’s representative in the Paris Olympic torch relay. In talks to star in a reality TV show, as well as plans for a follow-up solo album, the beloved singer achieved a brand reputation index of 3,292,366 in July.
According to an analysis of the latest cumulative data (June 16 – July 16) of the Korean Business Research Institute’s Consumer Participation, Communication, Media Coverage and Community Awareness Index, the “Moon” singer’s score has dropped from June’s total of 3,835,261. He previously recorded a staggering rise to the top with his highly anticipated return to the music scene. However, with the singer’s continued presence in the industry, this massive surge in Jin’s form appears to be slowing down a bit.

Eunwoo again came in second place after Jin, achieving a cumulative reputation index of 2,456,503. He has been constantly competing for the top 5 rank with the rising popularity associated with his role in the 2024 K-drama release, “Wonderful World.” He was also one of the headlining artists to perform at the 2024 Waterbomb Seoul Festival earlier this month.
Next up was Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, who ranked third with 2,081,232 points, up significantly from his 19th place finish in June.
Jin’s fellow BTS member, Jimin – who despite being away for his military duty – is releasing his second solo album, “Muse,” on July 19 and is also set to premiere the Disney Plus variety show, “Are You Sure?”, took the fifth spot, alongside Jungkook. The “Serendipity” singer slipped two ranks from June’s #3 spot. Meanwhile, RIIZE’s Wonbin jumped from #8 to #4 in July.
