New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh and described him as a “combination of talent and tradition”. During the “memorable” meeting, the two discussed the vibrancy of India including music, culture and yoga.

Responding to Dosanjh’s post, PM Modi described their meeting as “a great conversation”. The PM said, “A wonderful conversation with Diljit Dosanjh! He is truly versatile, blending talent and tradition. We connected through music, culture and much more.”

Earlier during the meeting, PM Modi praised Diljit’s achievements and said, “When a boy from a small village of ‘Hindustan’ shines on the global stage, it feels amazing. Your family named you Diljit and you people Keep winning the hearts of. Heart, as your name suggests.”
Diljit replied, “We used to read that ‘Mera Bharat Mahaan’ (My India is great), but when I traveled across India, I realized why people say that.”
Highlighting India’s diversity, PM Modi said, “India’s vastness is its strength. We are a vibrant society.”
Diljit said, “The biggest magic in India is yoga.” PM Modi agreed and said, ‘Those who have experienced yoga know its power.’
