Box office earningsKalki 2898 ADIt seems that this trend is not going to stop. Director Nag Ashwin’s film, Starring Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani, the film released with much fanfare on June 27. The film, which recorded a massive jump in ticket sales before its release, was released worldwide in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and other languages.
It was earlier announced that the film had hit the ₹1000 crore mark at the end of the second week of July, but the makers have confirmed that its earnings have crossed the ₹1100 crore mark globally on its 29th day in theatres.

Set in an apocalyptic world, Kalki 2898 AD The film stars Amitabh Bachchan as Amar Ashwatthama and Prabhas as a bounty hunter named Bhairava. Kamal Haasan plays Supreme Yaskin while Deepika Padukone plays Sumati. The film also stars Disha Patani, Shashwat Chatterjee, Anna Ben, Pashupati and Shobhana.
With cinematography by Djordje Stojiljkovic and music by Santosh Narayanan, the film is edited by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. Touted as the most expensive film to be produced in India with a reported budget of ₹600 crore, the mythological and sci-fi action drama film is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.
