Sri Lankan filmmaker Prasanna Vithanage HeavenThe makers announced on Saturday that the film will release in theatres in India and worldwide on June 28.
The film is the story of an Indian tourist couple, played by the actors. The Darlings Star Roshan Mathew and Darshana Rajendran jai jai jai jai hey They come to the troubled country to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary because it’s cheaper. But when things take an unexpected turn and the conflict deepens, their relationship is strained.
The film, produced by Newton Cinema, also stars Shyam Fernando and Mahendra Perera. It has dialogues in English, Malayalam, Tamil, Sinhala and Hindi.
Presented by Indian legend Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies, Heaven It had its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival 2023, where it won the prestigious Kim Jiseok Award for Best Film.
,Heaven “This is my first Indian film. This is the first time a Sri Lankan director has released a film worldwide. I would like to thank Newton Cinema for opening up the world to me,” Vithanage said in a statement.
Newton Cinemas CEO Anto Chittilappilly said that he is confident that Heaven This film will be loved by audiences all over the world.
“I fell in love with the script the first time I read it. It is a great honour to produce master director Prasanna Vithanage’s film and work with such a talented cast and crew whose efforts made this film a success. Newton Cinema, a young production studio set up during the pandemic, is proud of this. Heaven As our 4th project.
He added, “We are overwhelmed by the accolades we have received so far, including four nominations for the Busan Awards and the Asian Film Awards. Paradise is a film that must be seen in theaters to fully enjoy its exceptional audio-visual elements.”
The film’s crew members include Rajeev Ravi as the cinematographer, Sreekar Prasad as the editor, Tapas Nayak as the sound designer and K. as the music director.
