Predator Badlands Box Office Collection: The latest Predator film, Predator: Badlands, set a record for the franchise in its opening weekend. The film grossed $40 million in North America and led the domestic box office over the weekend, a better-than-expected result that lifted the box office slightly from its autumn slump.

Predator Badlands is the number 1 movie in the world

Predator: Badlands released in North America after the worst box office weekend of 2025. But it managed to change the situation with an opening of $40 million. Not taking inflation into account, the $40 million debut marked a new high for the franchise, surpassing the $38.3 million debut for 2004’s Alien vs. Predator.

Internationally too, Predator: Badlands performed well, matching its domestic collection and adding $40 million from international territories, according to studio estimates. The film’s global opening weekend collection is $80 million, which is a promising total.

Written and directed by Dan Trachtenberg, Predator: Badlands is the most expensive Predator film. According to the AP, the film’s budget is $105 million, which means it will have to make a little more money to become profitable. Whether it reaches its break-even point or not will depend on how the film performs on weekdays.

All about Predator Badlands

Badlands, the eighth film in the franchise that began with 1987’s Predator, introduces a new twist to the sci-fi series. On a remote planet, a young, outcast hunter (Demetrius Schuster-Kolomatangi) encounters an android researcher (Elle Fanning), and the two set out on a journey. It is the first film in the franchise in which the titular Predator is the protagonist, not the antagonist.

The film received largely positive reviews globally and was appreciated by the audience. Reviews (85% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes) have been good. Moviegoers gave it an A-Cinemascore.
