Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has increased his prayers and support to the people of Punjab, as the floods have caused widespread damage. Heavy rains submerged some parts of the state, displaced thousands of people, damaged homes, and destroyed crops.
Taking it to his X account on Wednesday, the actor said that his “heart goes out for people suffering in Punjab”, saying that “the spirit of Punjab will never break.”
“My heart goes out to those affected by those destructive floods in Punjab. Sending prayers and power … The soul of Punjab will never be broken … God can bless them all,” SRK wrote.

Earlier in the day, actress Alia Bhatt also shared her views for those caught in crisis and offered “love, power and prayer” to the families struggling in the disaster.
“My heart leaves for all those affected by floods in Punjab. Sending love, power, and prayers for people affecting them, and thanks to those working on the ground for help.
Many celebrities including Diljit Dosanjh, Karan Johar and Siddharth Malhotra have shown their honest concern over adverse circumstances.

Posting on X, Siddharth Malhotra wrote that his “Dil goes out for all affected by floods in Punjab” and prayed for “strength, safety and relief for all”.
Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has adopted the ten worst villages in Gurdaspur and Amritsar, working closely with non-governmental organizations and local authorities so that people can help people on the ground.
Actor Sanjay Dutt also expressed his support. “The devastation caused by floods in Punjab is really heartbreaking. Sending the strengths and prayers affecting everyone. I will support in every way.
On Monday, singer-actor Ammi Virk also announced on Instagram that he and his team had adopted 200 houses affected families.
“Our hearts hurt by seeing the devastation caused by floods in Punjab. I have been destroyed by seeing our people without a roof. In our small attempt to bring comfort and stability, we are adopting 200 houses to support those who have lost everything. It is not about shelter – it is about hope, dignity, and strength to resume,” he said.
Floods in Punjab have affected 23 districts and have affected over 3.5 lakh people.
