Allu Arjun Arrest: Telugu actor Allu Arjun came out of jail on Saturday morning. He was arrested in connection with the stampede outside the screening of ‘Pushpa 2’ in a Hyderabad theater earlier this month, in which a woman lost her life. Despite relief from the High Court, the ‘Pushpa 2’ actor had to spend Friday night in jail as authorities did not receive a copy of the bail order till late last night. “He has been released,” his lawyer Ashok Reddy told reporters at Chanchalguda jail, as quoted by news agency PTI. Reddy claimed that the jail authorities did not release the actor despite getting a copy of the High Court order.
“You should question the government and the department as to why they did not release the accused. The High Court order is very specific. Immediately, as soon as you (jail authorities) receive the order, (they) should release him. Clear Despite the order, he has not been released, he will have to answer. This is an illegal detention. We will take legal action.
According to him, Arjun was kept in the jail as a ‘special category prisoner’. The Pushpa actor was arrested from his residence on Friday morning after a day of dramatic events.
After his arrest, he was produced in a local court, from where he was sent to judicial custody for 14 days. However, his lawyers moved the High Court and secured interim bail. Arjun was lodged in Chanchalguda jail some time before the HC pronounced its order.

Following the incident, the city police registered a case under various sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) against Allu Arjun, his security team and the theater management at Chikkadappally police station based on a complaint by the deceased woman’s family. Meanwhile, fearing an increase in the number of fans following the actor’s release, police have beefed up security outside the star’s city residence.
