‘Pushpa 2’: Allu Arjun’s film crosses ₹1500 crore mark, makers address OTT release rumours.

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: Rules Which earned ₹1000 crore at the global box office in just six days, making it the fastest Indian film to reach this feat and has now touched the ₹1500 crore mark. Directed by Sukumar, the film is a sequel to the 2021 Telugu blockbuster Pushpa: RiseReleased on 5 December, it includes dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali and Malayalam.

Production banner Mythri Movie Makers, which financed the project, shared the latest box office figures on social media, revealing that the film has grossed Rs 1508 crore worldwide and claimed that it will achieve this figure by Rs. It is also the fastest Indian film to reach Rs.

Responding to recent rumors about the film releasing on OTT in January 2025, the makers also confirmed that the film will not hit the streaming platform before completing 56 days in theatres.

In the sequel, Allu Arjun reprises his role as a laborer turned sandalwood smuggler Pushpa Raj, along with Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.

The original film, directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, was commercially successful, grossing over ₹ 300 crore in India and establishing a strong fan base beyond the traditional Telugu-speaking audience.
