Two days after the stampede during the premiere show of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad, in which a woman died and her 8-year-old son was admitted to hospital, actor Allu Arjun took to his social media handle to express his condolences. And their support to the bereaved family.

He promised to give ₹25 lakh to the family as a ‘goodwill gesture’ and offered to cover all medical expenses to ensure the best possible care to the injured members.

In a video message, the actor said, “When we attended the premiere of Pushpa 2 at RTC intersection, we never thought that the next day we would hear such heartbreaking news. It is very sad to know that a family was injured and a woman named Revathi lost her life due to her injuries. Watching movies is a memorable experience for all of us, but this incident has devastated us all.

The actor urged fans to be cautious while watching movies, saying, “Our aim is to provide good entertainment for families to enjoy together. Please be careful and ensure you return home safely after enjoying the movie.

In his message on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to reassure them that they are not alone in their pain, and I will personally meet the family. “While respecting their need for privacy as they grieve, I am committed to providing every possible support to help them through this challenging period.”

The child’s condition still remains critical

Meanwhile, KIMS Secunderabad, where the boy is undergoing treatment, issued a second statement on Friday (December 6, 2024) in which they said his condition still remains critical.

“The child developed low oxygen saturation and irregular breathing, which required immediate intubation and ventilation. The baby’s MRI brain showed changes of prenatal insult, the CT chest showed no new hypoxic changes, which showed aspiration-related changes,” the statement said.

The hospital reported that the child is on a mechanical ventilator, which requires minimal settings and minimal ionotropic support, and is improving neurologically without any clinical seizures. The child has persistent fever which requires high doses of antibiotics. The child has been started on NG feeds, which he is tolerating well and there is some glimmer of hope with adequate urine output. However, the condition remains critical and the patient remains in intensive care and close observation as the medical team works to further stabilize him,” the statement said.
