Actress Radhika Apte will appear next time in Karan Kandhari’s “Sister Midnight”. As the versatile Diva first read the script for the first time, she thought it was the kind of film that offered space to experiment.
He said, “It looked very exciting. It was very honest. Karan had only written what he wanted to make without thinking about other things. Like, what the commercial manufacturers thought about it? It was completely his vision. It was his vision. Such is such rare dialogue. Just a lot was to be expressed through the face and body.
Sharing her experience of working with Radhika, the filmmaker revealed, “This was the biggest relationship and cooperation with an actor ever. And it was like being the best fictional friend to play.”
“The types of types I go after are quite specific. It is all behavior and about the removal of intellectual approaches for it. Whatever Uma does in the present and the present moment. “Sister Midnight” received nomination for ‘outstanding British debut’ at the BAFTA Awards 2025.

Set against the backdrop of Mumbai’s dense urban life, “Sister Midnight” is scheduled to reach the cinema hall on 30 May.
