New Delhi: The much-awaited film The Raja Saab has been in the news ever since Prabhas and Malavika Mohanan were announced in the lead roles. The big announcement, which came on the occasion of Malavika’s 31st birthday, was made by the film’s director through a social media post. The news has sparked curiosity and excitement among fans and the film industry, who are eager to see this new on-screen pair. In “The Raja Saab”, Malavika will be starring opposite superstar Prabhas.
During the recent promotions of her upcoming film “Thangaalan”, Malavika revealed that “The Raja Saab” gave her the opportunity to explore her artistic potential and showcase her skills to the fullest. She also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with Prabhas, mentioning his pivotal role in the film, which is written and directed by Maruthi.
“Getting such a role in a film with Prabhas sir… I am very grateful for such a wonderful role. It is very different from ‘Thangaalan’, totally opposite. I am very excited for you to see that side of me. Maruthi sir writes really good female characters,” she said.
She said, “We all know that the Telugu film industry is the biggest right now and it has even overtaken Bollywood. It is at a different level and I wanted to enter this industry with a bang. I was getting a lot of big hero films in which you play a lover, appear in a few scenes and leave. But I wanted films that would give me a chance to prove myself as an artiste. And I will get this opportunity only if I work with a director who can bring it all out of me.”
Produced by People Media Factory, “The Raja Saab” also stars Nidhi Agarwal, Riddhi Kumar, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Jishu Sengupta, Brahmanandam, Yogi Babu and others in pivotal roles. The music of the film is being composed by the acclaimed SS Thaman. “The Raja Saab” is scheduled for a grand release on April 10, 2025, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, ensuring a pan-India reach.
