Indian cinema superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth congratulated each other at the grand wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant on Saturday.
In a video from the Shubh Ashirwad ceremony, both the superstars are seen hugging and wishing each other. In this gesture, which has been appreciated by netizens, Rajinikanth is seen trying to touch Amitabh’s feet, but Big B stops him.
Notably, after the ceremony, the veteran took to his Tumblr blog on Saturday night to express his gratitude for the love and affection shown to him by many of his old acquaintances at the event. “They seemed to have changed in their physical form, but were extremely sincere in their affection for the association and the time we spent together,” he wrote.

He said, “It is strange that the little things that mean something to each other persist, but the things that were of deeper connection or meaningful time spent together are lost and forgotten… not really forgotten but left behind and only remembered or brought to the fore when there is the requisite sense of connection.”
It is noteworthy that Amitabh and Rajinikanth are set to share the screen in an upcoming Tamil film soon. VettaiyanDirected by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame, the film reunites Amitabh and Rajinikanth after 32 years. hum (1991). Produced by Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions, the film is set to release this October.
