New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor’s first look as Lord Ram has made the audience eager to watch Ramayan. The Animal Star’s next Ramayan has been a topic of discussion for a long time. But recently casting director Mukesh Chhabra has revealed a lot about the film, hearing which you will become even more excited.
Talking about casting Ranbir as Lord Ram, Mukesh Chhabra revealed that Nitesh Tiwari wanted only him in the film, “Bhai had decided to cast Ranbir very early in the process, and once you watch the film, you will see why it is such an apt casting. I think the actors I have worked with the most in my career are Ranbir and Rajkummar Rao. When it comes to acting, no one can beat Ranbir… He is very neutral about it. He doesn’t bother much about hits and flops. He is only worried about acting”, he told Ranveer Allahabadia on his show.
Many actors had refused to play the role of Laxman in Ramayana.
Speaking further about finding Lakshman, Mukesh Chhabra said, “We have found a lovely actor for Lakshman. A lot of people had auditioned for the role. But I am very happy with the actor we have brought in, this will be his debut in Bollywood. This was our last role. We have cast a young actor who has done a lot of work in television; he is a lovely guy. We couldn’t have found a better Lakshman. I am very happy that all the people we approached initially said no. Two or three people said no because they felt Ram and Lakshman had to be together forever.”
The shooting of Ramayan has begun and it is reported that Sunny Deol will play the role of Hanuman, Yash Ravan and Sai Pallavi will play Sita.
