Rana Daggubati revealed why he agreed to support the betting app, says it was a “legal gaming platform”

Representatives of Rana Daggubati on Thursday issued an explanation while addressing the allegations that they had promoted illegal betting applications. The statement said that his support activities were organized in “Complete compliance of law”.

According to the statement released by the actor’s team, Rana had contracted with a company to work as a brand ambassador for skill-based gaming platforms, an agreement that concluded in 2017. He insisted that his publicity work was especially for areas where such gaming activities were legally approved.

The statement stated in detail that the Star’s legal team fully reviews all possible participation before finalizing any agreement. After careful legal examination, he agreed to support the forum, making all the activities within the legal parameters.

Explanation also addressed the potential misconception, reiterating that Rana’s support belongs to legal skill-based gaming platforms.

The statement said, “It is to clarify that Rana Daggubati entered a contract with a company to act as a brand ambassador for skill-based sports, which ended in 2017. His support was limited to areas where online skill-based sports were allowed. Law.”

The statement follows the action of the Telangana police, who filed an FIR against 25 celebrities and social media affected, including notable figures like Prakash Raj, Vijay Devarakonda and Manchu Laxmi.

The complaint alleges that these persons promoted illegal betting and gambling application through their social media platforms.

Police report was filed at Miyapur police station in Hyderabad following a complaint by businessman PM Fanindra Sarma.
