We previously reported that Netflix’s popular crime drama series Rana Naidustarring Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh, is returning for a second season. On Tuesday, Netflix announced that filming for the season has begun and actor Arjun Rampal has joined the cast of the series.
In a press release, Netflix said, “With his dashing looks and imposing presence, Rampal’s role is sure to add excitement to this action-packed drama filled with family feuds and mistakes.
The statement further added, “As the curtain rises on the next chapter, fans are beginning to speculate: will this new character spark deeper conflict, form unexpected alliances or make shocking revelations? The tension is palpable and viewers are bracing themselves for a wild ride of power, glamour and personality clashes.”
Additionally, the streamer posted a BTS video from the first day of shooting, showcasing Rampal’s character look.
Official adaptation of the popular American series Ray DonovanThe series is based on the life of Rana Naidu (Rana), the go-to man in Bollywood who comes to everyone’s aid in times of trouble, and also depicts his strained relationship with his father Naga (Venkatesh).
The star cast of the series includes Surveen Chawla, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Gaurav Chopra, Priya Banerjee and Ashish Vidyarthi.
Produced by Sunder Aaron and Locomotive Global, The series is produced by Karan Anshuman, who is also directing it along with Suparn S Verma and Abhay Chopra.
