A source close to the film “Jat” has revealed that Randeep Hooda was initially reluctant to play the role of a villain in the actioner contrary to Sunny Deol.
An internal source revealed that filmmaker was eager to cast Randeep as Ranatunga. Although the actor had initial reservation about playing a role, he eventually agreed to do so, despite knowing that he would not portray a Jat character. The source was quoted saying, “When the producers approached Randeep for the role of Ranatanga, he was surrounded by a challenge, but he also had reservation and was not sure of taking that leap. But given the director’s enthusiasm, Gopichand Malineni played the main emperor during the script and sunlight, which he felt very good.
