Ranga Shankara’s Theater for Children Festival returns to Bengaluru

The much awaited Aha of Ranga Shankara! The Theater for Children Festival with its 15th edition from July 15 to 19, including five plays designed for young audiences. Launched in 2006, the festival is one of some coherent theater initiatives for children in India.

The release of the festival states, “Ranga Shankara’s most ambitious program ever brings the theater magic to children and theater makers in the country,” Ranga Shankar is laying the foundation for a theater movement and network by bringing world -class performances from the country and globe, bringing world -class performances from the country and globe.

Opens with festival GlowA new production directed by Manjari Kaul. The drama follows a 10 -year -old girl who moves from a seaside city to a large city, discovering memory, change and identity. Its premiere will have a live Indian Sign Language (ISL) interpreter on the stage.

“This live interpretation is a meaningful step towards making the theater more inclusive and welcoming for all children, especially those who experience the world differently,” said Adethya Suresh, Program Associate, Ranga Shankara.

This year’s lineup is also included Unemployment jobWhich investigates how friendship and happiness exist beyond work; SaoA metaphor to find courage to get out of fear and silence; CropA sensory journey that uses imagination to detect an object and keep it in the natural world, and Everyone playsPerformance and a amalgamation of sports.

“Drama in Aha of this year! The festival is associated with self-centers, courage, imagination and playing themes,” said Adithya. “They invite children to question, explore and join – with themselves, with others, and with the world they live.”

This festival will also travel to Ahmedabad, will continue cooperation with the NeKOE Foundation. “In the last few years, Aha! Festival has traveled to several cities including Pune and Hyderabad. This year, it especially travels to Ahmedabad,” said Adithya.

While reflecting the widespread mission of the festival, he said, “We believe that it plays an important role in the development of a child. It nourishes a lifetime love for art and presents questions and scenarios that feed the child’s immense curiosity and imagination.”

Ranga Shankara’s Aha! The Theater for Children’s Festival 2025 will be held from 15 to 19 July, which will feature plays for 7:30 pm daily. Tickets are available on .bookmyshow.com.
