New Delhi: Rani Mukherjee, who received her first National Film Award only after almost 30 years after entering the film industry, says she feels that the “overwhelmed” honor has been received.

The award for the best actress was declared for her powerful role in ‘Mrs.’, Chatterjee vs. Norway, ‘where she played a mother fighting to bring her children back home.

Calling it a big moment in her long journey in cinema, the ‘Maradani’ actress shared her feelings in her statement, where she reflected on “incredible films”, thanked and thanked the jury for recognizing her work. The role of the queen is based on the real -life case of Chatterjee vs. Norway Sagarika Chakraborty in ‘Mrs.’, whose children were taken by the Norwegian government in 2011. Rani has played the role of mother Debika, who fought the foreign legal system to bring her children back.

Since her debut in ‘Raja Ki Aygi Baraut’ in 1996, Rani has made a strong career. From winning heart with ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ in 1998, from winning many films, she has always chosen roles that show strength and feeling.
