The Nedumbassery police have registered a case against director Omar Lulu on charges of sexual harassment based on a complaint by a female actress.
Rural police sources said that a case of rape on false promise of marriage was registered in the first half of last year. However, it will also be investigated whether the case is related to casting couch.
The police have recorded the statement of the complainant and started investigation. Officials said the statement of the accused will be recorded soon. Meanwhile, the director has dismissed the complaint as motivated by financial gain.
