Mumbai: Actor Raza Murad filed an official complaint at Amboli police station in Mumbai on Friday, alleging that a false social media posts about his death were broadcast online, leaving him “tired” from repeatedly clarifying rumors.
The experienced actor said that “rumor” harassed him deeply and forced him to clarify repeatedly that he was alive.
Talking to ANI, Raza Murad claimed that someone shared the social media post and declared him dead. He said that the post mentioned the date of his birth and a tribute to “fake date of death”.

“There are some people who do not understand me for reasons, they seem upset with my existence. They posted about my death and even presented condolences. He wrote that I had worked for many years, but no one is to remember me now. He has also mentioned a fake date of my birthday and death in that post. The actor said that he was worn by a constant need to clarify wrong information. He said, “My throat, tongue, and lips have dried up by telling people that I am alive. This false news has spread everywhere. I am getting calls and messages from all over the world. People are also sending copies of the posts,” he said.
Calling the incident “shameful”, Murad criticized the person behind the rumor. He said, “Whoever has done so should have a very bad mindset. He seems to be a very young person, someone who has never fulfilled anything important in his life. That is why he enjoys doing such cheap work,” he said.
Murad confirmed that the police was taking his complaint seriously. He said, “They have accepted my complaint and are filing an FIR. He assured me that they would reach the bottom of this and catch the responsible person. Legal action will be taken against him.”
He urged action against those responsible for spreading such lies. He said, “It should stop now. It’s not only about me. Famous celebrities are often declared dead while they are still alive. It is wrong, and whoever does so should be punished,” he said.
