Mumbai: Filmmaker Ashok Pandit wrote an emotional note for Satish Shah’s wife Madhu Shah on social media on Thursday.
In her emotional message, she recalled their decades-long friendship, her artistic journey and the beautiful love story she shared with the late actor. Ashok posted a lovely picture on his Instagram handle in which he is sitting with Madhu. For the caption, the veteran filmmaker wrote, “Dear Madhu. I have known you for last 40 years. You have been a person who always believes in goodness, sharing love and affection towards people around you. Being the daughter of respected RR Prabhu, a well-known photographer, he blessed me with his artistic smile and beautiful expressions whenever I met him. You have followed his footsteps very well and have lived up to his legacy with your talent as a brilliant actress and a brilliant fashion designer. Have shared with you those great moments when you played important roles in my one-act plays which I directed in your college (SNDT Juhu).”

he adds, “My dear friend Satish Shah saw your performance in the inter collegiate competition and was very impressed with your award winning performance. And after that a love story started which took the form of a wonderful couple… You and Satish were the epitome of grace, dignity, humor, unity, fun.
Ashok Pandit concluded his post by saying, “You and Satish have created a lot of good people around you who will always be with you with their affection towards you. Still remember your tiffin which you used to send for all of us along with Satish on the sets of the film Chakkar which Satish used to eat alone and would not let us eat.”

“I refuse to believe that you are not okay. You are the same lovely person to me. Let’s do a play together and I promise you will win the best actress award again because I couldn’t find anyone better than you… I’m sure Satish will clap from above and be proud of you… plan the event and let you know. Be happy.”
Veteran actor Satish Shah passed away on October 25 at the age of 74. The comedian-actor was known for his memorable performances in iconic projects including “Sarabhai vs Sarabhai,” “Kal Ho Na Ho,” “Om Shanti Om,” “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro,” “Umrao Jaan” and “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” among many others.
