Chaos Reigns, a gig series happening at The Raft in Koramangala this week, will see metal performances from emerging and seasoned artists. There is no dearth of heavy music in the city and this show is another dose of extreme metal.
Technical death metal band Decuma, active since 2011, is expected to “bring their unique blend of technical prowess and cosmic themes to the stage,” an event release says.

Joining them is Chennai-born death metal band Vidyut, who came together in 2009. As wild and unbridled as their music, the band says they are “here to break your bones.” The band adds in their characteristic dark humour, “Put the police on speed dial and file an FIR for battery charges – we’re coming to destroy this place. See you in the pit!”
Bengaluru’s Dimorphous Expression is also at the event with their melodic death metal and thrash metal-informed sound. The band says about their upcoming concert, “Get ready for a wild evening filled with spectacular metal performances, headbanging, moshing, and overall metal madness.”
Emerging from the semi-professional gig circuit after participating in college competitions, Bengaluru-based artists, Shades of Paranoia, describe themselves as a hard rock and metal band. “They are based on blurring the lines between Indian music and alternative rock/metal,” says the Chaos Reigns event description.
