Actor Riteish Deshmukh will soon be seen in the lead role in a new web series titled ‘Pill’. On Saturday, the makers released the motion poster of the show, giving viewers a glimpse of “a whistleblower’s gritty battle against the dark and corrupt world of the pharmaceutical industry through a gripping tale of good versus evil”.
‘Pill’ is produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies and composed by Raj Kumar Gupta. It will release on JioCinema on July 12.

In the coming months, Ritesh will also be seen working in ‘Kakuda’ alongside Sonakshi Sinha and Saqib Saleem.
According to a statement, the story of ‘Kakuda’ takes place in Ratodi village of Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh.
The official synopsis of the project is as follows, “Although Ratodi seems like any other village, it is not so because of the curse that has been placed on it for years. Every house in the district has two identical looking doors, one of normal size and the other smaller than the other.
The film revolves around a strange ritual that requires opening the small door of every house every Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. Failure to follow this ritual incurs the wrath of Kakuda, who punishes the male of the house. But who is Kakuda… why does he punish the men of the village? How will the villagers be freed from this curse? Beware! Now the men are in danger!”
The film is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. He said, “As a filmmaker and a fan of the horror-comedy genre, I find it incredibly fascinating to find that delicate balance between scares and laughter. Scaring and delighting the audience simultaneously is a challenging task, but with ‘Kakuda’, I believe we have once again found the right path.”
