New Delhi: After reports of firing outside Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence surfaced, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang has taken responsibility for the incident.
A post circulated on social media from accounts purportedly linked to Shubham Lonkar and Arzoo Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the shooting and issued a direct threat to the filmmaker and the film industry.
The post, written in Hindi, translated as a warning stating that the group had earlier asked Rohit Shetty not to interfere in their activities. It further claimed that the firing was meant to be a “trailer” and threatened more serious consequences if the warning was ignored.

The message also issued a warning to the Bollywood industry, saying those who do not comply will face serious consequences. It ended by insisting that the Lawrence Bishnoi Group alone would take responsibility for such actions.

Rohit Shetty residence firing case
Four rounds of bullets were reportedly fired outside the residence of Bollywood film producer Rohit Shetty late on the night of January 31. According to NDTV report, the incident occurred between 12:40 am and 1:00 am.
The Juhu area has been secured with heavy security deployment while investigators and forensic teams are conducting a detailed examination of the incident site to identify those responsible.
A team of forensic experts has already collected bullets and other evidence from the spot.
There is no news of anyone being injured in the incident. Officials confirmed that Rohit Shetty was at home at the time of the shooting.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing and all possible angles are being examined to identify the suspects.
As soon as information about the incident was received, senior officers of Mumbai Police reached the spot along with teams of Mumbai Crime Branch. Due to security reasons the entire area has been cordoned off.

A case has been registered against unknown assailants under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and the Arms Act.
A similar incident took place outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Bandra residence in 2024, when two bike-borne assailants fired four rounds before fleeing from the spot. Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang later claimed responsibility for the firing in a Facebook post.
