Director-Filmekar Rohit Shetty recently shared the story of an emotional and uplift of shooting for his much awaited film ‘Singham Again’. He opened about individual bonds shared with some of Bollywood’s biggest stars.
In a clear conversation on the Youtube show game Changers, Shetty said that actress Deepika Padukone was a four -month pregnant, when she worked for filming for her role as Lady Singham. Despite his position, he displayed unmatched dedication and professionalism, never let his pregnancy affect his performance.
Shetty said, “When only the last schedule (again Singham) of our film was pending, Deepika was four months pregnant. But she came to shoot. Such relationships are rarely made,” Shetty said. He also insisted on the real bonds in the film industry yet, stating, “There are 2-3 people whom I can call at 2 o’clock-Ajay sir, Ranveer Singh, Deepika. I am very close to them.”
Deepika Padukone returned Rohit Shetty’s cinematic Universe as a fierce and action-Reddy Lady Singham, which marks her full role in the director’s police franchise. The actress first appeared in a dance cameo with Ranveer Singh in Rohit’s 2022 film CIRKUS and first collaborated with her in the 2013 blockbuster Chennai Express.

Rohit Shetty’s long bond
Rohit Shetty highlighted the authenticity of his friendship in the industry, especially with Ajay Devgan and Ranveer Singh. Their friendship with Ajay is more than three decades, a bond inherited from his father – Rohit’s father, stuntman MB Shetty, and Ajay’s father, famous action director Viru Devgan.
“We started together. My father and his father were in action style. Our bond is 33 years old,” Shetty shared. Ajay has been a mainstay in Rohit’s films, from Golmaal series to Singham, one of the most trusted actor-director doubles of Bollywood.
Why Rohit avoids film test screening
Rohit also revealed why he usually avoids attending a test screening. Known for his honesty, he finds it difficult to show off like a film that he did not enjoy. “The invitation has stopped coming now because people know that I will not come. If I do not like the film, how can I say that it’s good? It’s deception,” they explained.
However, he created an exception to Deepika Padukone during a difficult time in 2018. He personally invited him for Padmavat’s test screening, and Rohit happily forced him. “There were many issues going on then, so Deepika requested that we all come together. I said,” Sure, why not. ” I really liked it, “he remembered.
