Actor Rupali Ganguly has criticized Pakistani actor Favad Khan on his comments on India’s successful operation vermilion. Taking X (East Twitter), Rupali expressed his displeasure, called his work “shameful” in the light of his recent stance in Indian films.
While reposting Fawad’s comment on Operation Sindoor, Rupali wrote, “You were also ’embarrassing’ for us to work in Indian films.” He also added the hashtags including #Operationsindoor, #Indianarmy, and #IndianAirForce in his post.

A day earlier, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) released a strong statement criticizing Pakistani actor Fawad Khan for “anti-India” comments.
The association has also reiterated its long demand for a complete ban on Pakistani artists in India.
In his press release, Aicwa accused Fawad Khan of “supporting divisive lectures” instead of condemning terrorism.
The association stated that their comment was “derogatory towards the nation” and “an insult to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country.”
AICWA said that working in India keeps “strict and full restrictions” on Pakistani artists, filmmakers and financiers. “No Indian artist will cooperate with any Pakistani talent, nor shared any global platform with them,” the statement said.
The tension between India and Pakistan increased after the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April. In response, India retaliated on nine terrorist bases in Pakistan on 7 May, with an operation called Sindoor.
Fawad Khan was ready to return to Bollywood with the film Abir GulalHowever, after the Pahalgam terror attack in April, the film’s release was stopped and tension between India and Pakistan increased. The film was initially scheduled to hit theaters on 9 May.
