Russell Crowe feels “a little uneasy” about making ‘Gladiator 2’

In a recent conversation, actor Russell Crowe spoke about Ridley Scott. the Gladiator He said he was a little uneasy about the fact that the film was being made.

According to The Hollywood ReporterCrowe said in an interview with Kyle Meredith, “I’m a little uncomfortable with the fact that they’re making another movie – because, of course, I’m dead and I have no say in what to do. But from what I’ve heard I’m like, ‘No, no, no, it doesn’t delve into that particular character’s moral journey’. But I can’t say anything, it’s not my place, I’m six feet under. So we’ll see how it goes.”

Crowe played the lead role of Roman general Maximus Decimus Meridius for the first time. the Gladiator The film came out in 2000 and was also directed by Scott. “I look back: how old I was when I made that movie and what happened after that, the doors that movie opened for me,” the actor continued. “It’s just my honesty: there’s definitely a tinge of sadness, a tinge of jealousy. I remember when I had tendons.”

The sequel’s story will focus on the journey of former heir to the empire, Lucius Verus, played by Paul Mescal. Gladiator 2, which also stars Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn and Connie Nielsen, is set to release November 22.
