Ryan Reynolds is all set for the release of his upcoming film Deadpool and Wolverine. The actor is busy promoting the film along with co-star Hugh Jackman. Recently, Ryan joked about being ‘sued’ by singer Taylor Swift for his previous instalment in the Deadpool franchise as he used her cats in the film. The Deadpool actor shares a close bond with Swift and a few months ago, even attended her concert.

Ryan jokes about being ‘sued’ by Taylor Swift
Ryan was in an interview with SiriusXM’s Town Hall, where he said there’s no bad blood between him and Taylor Swift after her cat photos were used in Deadpool 2. Photos of Swift’s cats, Meredith and Olivia, were used on a T-shirt worn by Ryan’s character Wade in the Deadpool sequel. He said, “Yeah, I had a T-shirt made. Yeah, I had a T-shirt made. [Swift’s cats] Meredith and Olivia on Wade’s shirt. Yeah, you know, just little details, that’s all,” as reported by People magazine.
When the radio jockey asked if Ryan had to get permission from Swift to use photos of her cats in the film, he nonchalantly replied, “No, I was sued. I lost everything in that.”
“And it’s very hard to get sued by a friend. Plus, he has a lot of very powerful lawyers. I found out later they’re just paralegals. Real lawyers don’t even bother,” he joked.
“I would never do that,” he added, referring to wearing that particular T-shirt without Swift’s permission.

Ryan Reynolds is crazy about Taylor Swift
Ryan and his wife Blake Lively share a close friendship with the American singer and songwriter. The 47-year-old actor attended Swift’s concert in Madrid in May with his wife and their three daughters Betty, Inez and James. In a clip shared by a fan account, the couple was seen kissing and later Blake was seen dancing to the rhythm of the Lover singer with his daughters.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ryan shot down rumors of Swift starring in his upcoming film. However, in a 2022 interview, he said, “Are you kidding? I would do anything for that woman. She’s a genius.” He also mentioned how everyone in his family is obsessed with the 34-year-old singer. “Oh my god, yes. All of us, the whole house, I’m not kidding. I love it so much. Me, Blake, my daughters. We love it so much. Obsessed.”
