Shana Wall suffered internal injuries to her throat, esophagus, larynx and digestive system after drinking a beverage containing plastic fragments
Shana Wall was seriously injured after swallowing plastic pieces from a beverage served on an American Airlines flight. The 50-year-old actress, who once dated Ryan Seacrest, has filed a lawsuit against the airlines, seeking unspecified damages. Wall was served the contaminated beverage while she was flying to Rome from John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, New York.

According to the lawsuit filed Monday in Manhattan Supreme Court, the former contestant on reality TV show The Amazing Race suffered injuries to her throat, esophagus, larynx and digestive tract after drinking the drugged beverage on May 1. After the incident, Wall had to remain in bed because she needed medical care due to internal injuries.

,[American Airlines] The model argued in her lawsuit that, “It is our duty to provide beverages and food that are not contaminated and suitable for consumption,” and said that this created “dangerous, defective and unsafe conditions on airplanes.” The California native dated the 49-year-old television presenter from 2003 to 2005.
According to IMDb, prior to her current profession as a sommelier, Wall has worked on TV shows such as Married… with Children and Entourage. The actress, who now lives in the Meatpacking District, also works as a contributor to the men’s magazine Best Life.

While both Wall and her attorney have remained mum about the lawsuit, her social media posts following the incident in mid-May show her enjoying Barolo in Italy. Wall has over 11k followers on Instagram, with whom she regularly shares glimpses of her personal and professional life.
