The latest offering of Aadyam Theater, Sanap CedihiThe audience of Bengaluru promises a seat-off-the-seat experience. Anthony Shefer’s Tony Award Winner Customized from Psychological Thriller DogThe Hindi drama is directed by Shubarajyoti Barat and stars Kumud Mishra and Sumit Vyas. After a successful run in Delhi, it is set to play in Ranga Shankara on 9 and 10 May.
In its heart, Sanap Cedihi There is a deadly game of manipulation and deception between two men: a fiery filmmaker, Anil Wadhwa (starred by Kumud), and his wife’s lover, Mayank Tiwari (Sumit). In Goa, Anil’s huge, slightly set against the background of the real house, which seems to be a civic collision, soon spirals in a dangerous psychological battle where there is nothing that seems to be so.
For director Shubjayoti, Dog There was a drama that had been rent-free in his mind for years. “As a director or anyone involved in the theater, there are always plays that you keep returning,” they say. “When Adyam gave me a platform, it felt like the right time to bring it into life, especially on board with actors like Kumud and Sumit.”

But Shubjayoti was clear from the beginning that he did not just want translation; He wanted an adaptation that was inherent in the Indian earth. Cooperating with the playwright Akrash Khurana, the team rejected the British world of the aristocratic class of Shefer to recognize something more. “Instead of the novelist of the origin, Anil is now a B-grade filmmaker who has climbed the ladder. It adds complexity to his character, a self-made person whose ego and insecurity play in an attractive way,” he explains.
Even blind, Sanap Cedihi Trys to use. The set, says Shubarajyoti, is designed with the background of the sky and deliberately incomplete walls and ceilings, which creates a marginal location that reflects hymns that uproot the characters. “It is as if the house can meet infinite or any moment can be different,” they say. “We also use a puppet as a silent observer, which adds an additional layer of stress.”
For Sumit, it was a long -awaited moment to step into Mayank Tiwari’s shoes. “I had read Dog It was believed to return years ago and to return, but it did not happen, “he says.” Therefore, when this opportunity came together, I felt both excited and relieved. “His character, Mayank, is more than only the ‘other man’.” He appears to be buffalo and straight, but there is another side-a deep seating reaction to the threat that makes him unpredictable. He is not just a victim; He takes action, and makes him interesting to play. ,

Despite the web series and a busy career in the film, Sumate says both were both thrilling and nervous-rating. He said, “I have not opened a new drama in almost a decade, so I was really excited to rehearsal, make mistakes and find that process again. It’s a good nervousness,” he believes.
Sumit and Shubarajyoti highlight the strong bond between the artists, especially dynamic between Sumit and Kumud. After working together first, their friendship adds a layer of trust and freedom on the stage.
Shubhrajyoti, who has known both actors to have known for years, says close friends brought their sets of challenges. He says, “This can be strange from friend to director, but with this caliber actors, you do not need to do Microman. It is more about guiding the characters’ arcs while relying on their tendency,” he says.
Shubhrajyoti feels that thriller is an undivided style on the Indian stage that makes it particularly attractive. “Theater is rarely performed in the theater, and it was part of the scattering attraction. Such a well -written script almost directs itself. You just need to represent it honestly, and it does the rest,” they say.
The 90 -minute Hindi game is 15 and older. Catch it in Ranga Shankara at 7.30 pm on 9 and 10 May. Tickets on Bookmyshow.
