Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan have finally broken up. After much speculation about the pair, who started dating almost a year ago, the young stars have reportedly gone their separate ways.
On December 3, a source told People that the “Espresso” hitmaker and the Saltburn actor, who teamed up for the “Please Please Please” music video in June, have “decided to take a break.” Without any explanation, the insider cited them being “young and career-focused” as the reason for their separation. Additionally, Page Six supported the claims, reporting that an insider told the tabloid that the split happened “recently.”

This is not the first time that Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan have been in the news for breakup news.
Carpenter and Keoghan (or their reps) have yet to respond to these new reports, which come four months after the celebs were first embroiled in breakup rumors. People had previously noted that the couple’s relationship was “one-sided.”
The 25-year-old pop star and the 32-year-old Hollywood actor sparked romance rumors in early December 2023 after they were photographed dining together in Los Angeles. A month later, they confirmed their relationship as they were seen packing PDA with a “little kiss” during a trip to an LA museum.
Sabrina and Barry have apparently been public about their then-current romance
In April, the pair also went viral as ‘Barbie and Ken’ duo when the Saltburn star attended his then-girlfriend’s Coachella set earlier this year. Their topicality set a new standard in June when the then-couple united for the Grammy nominee’s “Please Please Please” music video.

The clearly supportive (reported) exes have social media receipts in their favor, publicly demonstrating their love and support at the time. Keoghan in particular has been seen leaving heartfelt comments several times on Carpenter’s Instagram posts. Similarly, Keoghan was also there to cheer on Carpenter during rehearsals for the 2024 MTV Music Video Awards event.
In addition to being romantically linked with Keoghan, Carpenter has previously made headlines with Joshua Bassett and Shawn Mendes. The Irish actor has a 2-year-old son, Brando, with his ex-wife, Alison Sandro.
