New Delhi:

Saif Ali Khan, who was stabbed by an intruder in an attempted burglary at his home on the morning of January 16, is recovering from his fatal injuries. Sister Saba Pataudi recently visited him in the hospital and shared a new update on her Instagram stories.

Recently Saba Pataudi suffered a fracture in her fingers. He has shared a picture of himself with a crepe bandage tied on his hand. He said that he is happy that he spent time with his brother during this difficult time.

Saba wrote in the caption, “It’s great to be back and spend time with brother. Glad to see him staying positive and slowly recovering in the last two days.”

“Although I hadn’t yet realized that my finger was fractured, I was reminded of Bhai and Abba’s cricket injuries! I was tempted to leave my finger to set like theirs, but nothing This did not happen even after trying!

Saba concluded, “Happy to be with the family! Together always.”

Saif Ali Khan is now out of danger and recovering. He underwent some surgeries to repair the fatal wounds.

The hospital said in a media briefing on Thursday afternoon that Saif Ali Khan had suffered a stab wound to his spinal cord and that he had repaired the leaking spinal fluid. Khan has two deep wounds on his hands and neck, which have been repaired with plastic surgery.

On Sunday, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national was arrested for breaking into Saif Ali Khan’s house and stabbing him. According to sources, he confessed to his crime, saying, “Yes, I did it.”

According to police sources, Mohammed Shariful Islam Shahzad was arrested near Hiranandani Estate in Thane’s Kasarvadavali, about 35 km from Mr Khan’s house in Mumbai’s Bandra area. The breakthrough comes after more than 70 hours of an intensive search that was launched after the attack during an attempted robbery early Thursday morning.

After being caught, when a senior officer asked Shehzad if he was the one who attacked Mr Khan, the accused said, “Yes, I did it”, said a source.

Based on information given by a labor contractor, the police traced Shahzad to a labor camp in a forested area.

A Mumbai court granted five-day custody of Shariful Islam Shehzad to the city police.
