New Delhi: Actor Saif Ali Khan has been discharged from Lilavati Hospital, five days after he was stabbed at his Bandra residence on the morning of January 16. The 54-year-old actor suffered multiple stab wounds and underwent five-hour emergency surgery. In the hospital.

The incident happened around 2:15 am when a thief allegedly entered the actor’s house, attacked the house help and when Saif tried to intervene, he attacked them. During the altercation, the actor suffered six knife wounds, two of which were considered serious due to being close to his spinal cord.
Doctors at Lilavati Hospital removed a 2.5-inch knife from the actor’s wound. After surgery, Saif was taken to ICU and according to the medical report, he is now out of danger. On January 20, the medical team decided to keep him under observation for an additional day.
Mumbai Police has arrested the suspect from Thane, who has been identified as Mohammad Shehzad. Officials revealed that Shahzad is a Bangladeshi national who had entered India illegally. He was previously a national level wrestling champion in Bangladesh.
In his statement, Shehzad claimed that he did not recognize Saif Ali Khan, and his comments matched those of the rickshaw puller who took the actor to the hospital. The driver also said that he did not realize that he was taking a Bollywood celebrity to the hospital. Apart from this, the rickshaw puller told that Saif’s elder son Taimur had also gone with him to the police station.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and other family members were at home at the time of the attack, although they were reportedly sleeping at the time of the incident.
