New Delhi: A day after Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder in an attempted theft at his Bandra home, Mumbai Police on Friday caught the alleged ‘attacker’. According to visuals shared by ANI on Twitter, a man has been detained for questioning.
Saif Ali Khan’s attacker arrested?
The suspect has been brought to Bandra Police Station for further questioning. However, the police later clarified that they have no connection with the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case and no person has been detained so far in connection with the incident.

Earlier, Mumbai Police had said that the accused was last seen near Bandra Railway Station and a search is on to nab him, an official told ANI. Police suspect that after the incident, the suspect caught the first local train in the morning and went towards Vasai Virar. An official said that Mumbai Police teams are searching in Vasai, Nalasopara and Virar areas.

Lilavati Hospital said the actor’s family and doctors will decide on shifting the actor from the ICU to the general ward later in the day.
Saif Ali Khan stabbing case: What happened that day?
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder in his 11th floor flat in Bandra at around 2:30 am on Thursday. The incident occurred when an intruder allegedly confronted the actor’s maid at his residence. As Saif attempted to intervene and calm the situation, it turned into a violent altercation, resulting in multiple stab wounds to the actor.
Saif was immediately taken to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital after he was stabbed by the intruder. There, his surgery was performed under the supervision of a team of doctors. According to doctors, Saif had suffered major injury to his thoracic spine due to the knife stuck in his spine, and it was necessary to remove the 2.5-inch long knife from the actor’s spine and repair his ‘spinal fluid leak’. Surgery was done for. Although Saif is “out of danger”, doctors continue to monitor him. After surgery, he was shifted to ICU, where his condition is currently improving.
Mumbai Police registered an FIR regarding the attack on the actor and recorded the statement of the complainant, who is a maid employed by the actor.
It is alleged in the complaint that the attacker demanded Rs 1 crore from the family. According to the complainant, the intruder allegedly attacked the maid with a hexa blade, which hit her on both her hands.
