Saif Ali Khan will not get leave today: ‘Will be under observation’

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is recovering steadily after suffering multiple knife injuries during an alleged theft attempt at his Bandra residence, Dr Nitin Dange of Lilavati Hospital shared a health update on Monday.

While talking to the media, Dange said that the actor will remain under observation for one more day and the decision to discharge him will be taken in the next one to two days.

The attack took place when an intruder, later identified as Mohammed Shariful Islam Shahzad, broke into the actor’s house with the alleged intention of theft. Saif sustained a knife wound to his thoracic spine while attempting to intervene during a confrontation between an intruder and his maid.

During a press conference last week, Dange praised Saif’s courage, describing how the actor rushed to the hospital “like a lion” despite being “soaked in blood”.

“There was blood all over his body. But he walked like a lion with his little baby. He is a real hero. He is currently doing well. His parameters have improved. He was shifted from the ICU to a special room. It’s being done. We will.” Control visitors. We want him to rest,” Dr Dange said.

Meanwhile, according to the police, various investigation teams have been formed to probe the case and charges have been filed under sections 311, 312, 331(4), 331(6) and 331(7) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Have been recorded. ,

The accused was caught in Hiranandani Estate in Thane while trying to flee to his native village. According to the police, it was found that he was a resident of Jhalokati district of Bangladesh.

The case was reported by 56-year-old staff nurse Aleyamma Philip. The incident occurred around 2:00 am on 16 January, during which Saif Ali Khan suffered serious injuries, including multiple stab wounds on his thoracic spine.

According to the hospital administration, Saif Ali Khan’s condition is improving and he has been moved from the ICU to a regular room. The surgery, which involved removing a 2.5-inch-long blade, was successful. Although the actor is now “out of danger”, the medical staff is closely monitoring his condition.

While talking to the media at an event, Saif’s sister Soha Ali Khan shared updates about his health. She added, “We’re glad he’s recovering, and we’re very grateful. We feel very blessed and grateful that it wasn’t worse. Thank you for all your well wishes.”
