Saif Ali Khan’s security after knife attack to be provided by Ronit Roy-owned agency

New Delhi:

Saif Ali Khan returned home on January 21 after undergoing treatment for his fatal injuries at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital. The actor was attacked multiple times with a knife by an intruder in a case of attempted theft on the morning of January 16. This incident has raised questions over the safety of celebrities living in posh buildings in Mumbai.

After the shocking knife attack, Saif Ali Khan has decided to change his security agency. He has expressed confidence in Ronit Roy’s security firm Ace Security and Protection.

When Saif Ali Khan reached his Bandra home on Tuesday evening, Ronit Roy was also present. He did not give details about what kind of security was provided to the actor.

According to news agency IANS, Ronit Roy told the media, “We are already here with Saif. He is fine now and is back.”

For those unaware, Ronit Roy is the owner of “Ace Security & Protection” agency (Ace Squad Security Services LLP).

In the early hours of January 16, an intruder broke into Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra home and stabbed him six times during a scuffle.

The actor, who was bleeding heavily from his wounds, was taken to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw late on Wednesday night. One of the injuries was on his spinal cord and doctors said the knife had missed his spinal cord by only 2 mm.

However, spinal fluid had leaked and a surgery was performed to repair it. The actor also underwent plastic surgery for injuries on his arm and neck.

Aliama Philip, the caretaker of Saif Ali Khan’s sons Taimur and Jeh, has told the police that she was the first to recognize the intruder.

When Mr Khan asked the intruder what he wanted, he attacked her with a wooden object and a hexa blade, Ms Philip said.

He said, “Saif sir somehow managed to get away from them and we all ran out of the room and pulled the door of the room.” After this everyone went to the upper floor of their house. The intruder later fled,” the stewardess said in her statement to the police.

Police have arrested Shariful Islam Shahzad, a Bangladeshi national who entered India illegally and lives under a fake name Bijoy Das, for allegedly breaking into the actor’s house and attacking him.
